| Final Fantasy VII: In Magazines |
Magazines have fallen out of favor in large part. They're still around, but the medium doesn't enjoy the same circulation and subscription rates of it's hey day. Some of you reading might have been born after this era of print dominance, so I thought it might be interesting to show some old magazine covers and advertisements as they pertain to Final Fantasy VII.
Back when these advertisements and covers were first released, magazines would often be someone's go-to for information related to their hobbies and interests. For many, seeing these publications on news stands was their first exposure to Final Fantasy VII or even Final Fantasy as a whole. Information moved much slower back then and the internet was in its infancy. But as the web gained greater user engagement, print made less and less sense, resulting in many magazines ceasing publication and operating exclusively in digital capacities.
